Q & A:
What was your first job?
I worked on a local farm picking corn, beans, etc. I got a quick appreciation for hard work!
What led you to this career?
I wanted a career with an opportunity to help people. Selfishly I felt that if I were able to do that, I would feel fulfilled in what I was doing with my professional life.
What energizes you at work?
Helping clients with their goals. It often times requires problem solving, thinking outside the box, and finding solutions. I find all of that extremely rewarding.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Playing the guitar. I have no musical talents whatsoever and seeing someone play the guitar live always captivates me.
What’s the best advice you were ever given and who was it from?
If you show up on time, do what you say you’re going to do, and treat everyone like your own family you will do just fine in life. Advice from my grandfather.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I really would have to give two answers. My Dad would be one. I wanted to be just like my dad. Michael Jordan would be the other. Who didn’t want to “be like Mike”?
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Spending time with my kids, hopefully outside!
What is the top destination on your must-visit list?
I would really like to see the Northern Lights. I guess that doesn’t really answer the question, but it opens up many destination options!
